Mel and family - of the Melikin Puppets were early mentors of Marc’s. They helped shape Marc’s character, as well as his skill level in various forms of puppetry. Marc developed his story writing and craft abilities based on the Melikin show techniques. Marc pursued puppetry from grade school through college, continuing to interact with his mentors/friends - The Melikins. We are honored to know them.

Dave Herzog was a later mentor during Marc’s college years and helped him form his professional skills. Marc interned with Dave for credit towards his major, and eventually a BS in Fine Arts degree from Columbia College. Dave became a good friend of Marc’s and we treasure his friendship as well.
